A Harford Road massage parlor appears to be closed Wednesday after Baltimore County detectives raided it Tuesday night with a search warrant.
One person was arrested on charges of prostitution during the course of the investigation of Sunny Spa asian massage and Table Shower, according to police. The name of the individual who was arrested has not been released.
Detective Cathy Batton, a spokeswoman for the police department, told Patch that county detectives were accompanied by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents during the operation, but that the investigation is currently under the jurisdiction of Baltimore County Police Department.
Signs and window coverings that advertised the business, located at 8604 Harford Road, were missing Tuesday morning when Patch got the tip that the business had been raided.
"I don't know that the business is closed," Batton said. "The reason for the missing signs is that they were seized during the investigation."
Police closed down another massage parlor on Harford Road in October 2011, when they arrested a New York woman on charges of prostitution.
In May 2011, a raid at a massage parlor on Belair Road in Overlea opened an investigation into a multi-state prostitution ring.
